Wasco FFA Finds Success at the 2017 Kern County Fair
On September 22, 53 Wasco FFA students hauled in their hogs, sheep and goats to the Great Kern County Fair. Over the next several days the students showcased their showmanship skills and their market animals - some of which earned top honors. Various exhibitors were class winners, with three students going above and beyond and winning their divisions. In the sheep barn Monique Alvarez and her lamb Jinx earned the title of Grand Champion FFA Suffolk Market Lamb, while Lizbeth Anaya and her lamb Levi were awarded Reserve Grand Champion FFA Natural Market Lamb. Over in the hog barn Manuel Flores and his hog Fishy Pig were awarded Reserve Grand Champion FFA Market Barrow. Wasco FFA is proud to announce that we won the Theme Contest in the Sheep, Swine and Goat barns. Wasco FFA is extremely proud of all of our exhibitors and all of their hardwork and dedication over the last several months. Go Tigers! A special Thank You to the Wasco Ag. Boosters for all their help and support.
