This year Wasco FFA tried something new with our Chapter’s Show Teams. We had four livestock exhibitors that showed their animals at the Desert Empire Fair in Ridgecrest, CA. With anything new there are things to learn and people to meet. This new Fair was no different. The friendly staff, exhibitors, and judges made the experience one to remember.
Attending the Desert Empire Fair this year was New and Exciting. The following students attended: Andrew Morales with two breeding ewes and one market lamb. Sky Williams showed her market lamb, Carson Jennings showed his market lamb, and Alejandro Gomez showed his market swine.
Wasco FFA did well at the Desert Empire Fair, Alejandro Gomez placed 4th in his Market Swine Class. Sky Williams placed 5th with her Market Lamb and 4th in showmanship. Carson Jenning placed 5th with his Market Lamb and 4th in showmanship class. Andrew Morales placed 2nd in Showmanship class and 2nd overall in final Showmanship. Andrew received Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb and Reserve Grand Champion Breeding Ewe. Congratulations to our exhibitors and thank you to the community of Wasco for your support.
