Wasco FFA gives back this holiday season!

This month has been a busy one for the Wasco FFA Chapter! We kicked off December with a monthly FFA meeting on December 3rd, along with the Christmas parade and decorating as the activity for the meeting. After members gathered in the Cafeteria and we opened the meeting all members that chose to participate in the parade headed over and we decorated our float and then entered into the communities Christmas parade.
On December 4th our chapter participated in the South Valley activity night at Camelot park. To attend this event members had to sell two poinsettias in the annual poinsettia fundraiser.
On December 7th our Chapter participated in the community fundraiser Trees for Tigers. Wasco FFA decorated a tree for the event and had several members volunteer to work the event. Trees for Tigers is a community fundraiser that raises money for Toys for Tigers, which is the next event on our Chapters agenda for this month.

FFA members have been bringing in toys all month to donate to the drive and this upcoming Saturday we will have members participating in the distribution of the toys. Getting involved in community events is a great opportunity for the members of our chapter to give back to the community and it can also be lots of fun. On December 13 Wasco FFA officer team was invited and attended the Independence December FFA Meeting in Bakersfield. Officers had a great time getting to know the chapter membership and have made plans for more chapter exchanges in the future.

Wasco FFA wishes our supporter, our members and the community of Wasco a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
