Kern County Fair Exhibitor Scholarship 2022


Kern County Fair will again offer a Scholarship for Livestock Exhibitors for more information follow the link here.

  1. Applicants must be an exhibitor at the Kern County Fair during the year of the award.

  2. Applicants must be a member in good standing of the Livestock Department.

  3. Applicants must be a high school senior or higher.

  4. Completed applications are due by noon, September 14, 2022, in the Kern County Fair Administration Office, 1142 South P Street, Bakersfield, CA 93307, and must include the following;

    1. Completed Application

    2. Letter of recommendation from an adult, other than your parent

    3. Last full year, semester, or quarter transcript The envelope must state “Kern County Fair Junior Livestock Scholarship Program”.

  5. Winners of the Kern County Fair, Butler Amusements, and Friends of the Kern County Fair Junior Livestock Scholarship will not be eligible to apply in subsequent years.

  6. Scholarship applications will be judged as follows:

    1. Scholastic Ability – 30%

    2. Agricultural Involvement – 40%

    3. Community Involvement – 30%

  7. The Scholarship Judging Committee is composed of members of the Friends of the Kern County Fair Board. The Judging Committee will review the applications and select the winners.

  8. The decisions of the Scholarship Committee shall be considered final.

  9. The scholarship recipients will be announced during the Livestock Parade of Champions, on September 25, 2022.
