National FFA Convention & Expo

Wasco FFA was lucky to have four members attend the 95th National FFA Convention & Expo which was held October 26-29 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The General Sessions were held at the Lucas Oil Stadium where more than 69,000 members, advisors, and guests attended this event. A total of 4,305 of those members received the esteemed American FFA Degree, the highest degree achieved in the National FFA Organization. While in Indianapolis, FFA members and other supporters from around the country learned about careers in agriculture, earned scholarships and awards, met with industry leaders, and learned skills they could take back to their home FFA chapter. Many members made countless life-long memories from this trip and were able to connect with others throughout the nation. This convention is one which only few get to experience, and is an opportunity of a lifetime. Those who went felt lucky and made many memories.

From Wasco FFA, there were seven attendees who represented our chapter proudly. Wasco FFA alumni Haley Allen, Daniela Ramos, Mackinley Wankum, and Sky Williams received their American Degrees! Sam Garcia represented California FFA as a voting delegate, an important position, for the National FFA Officer Election. Mrs. Morales and Ms. Tolin were the advisors who attended.

Wasco FFA would like to sincerely thank the Wasco Ag Boosters who were able to pay for the travel expenses of this trip. This experience is one that will never be forgotten.
