On Saturday, August 18th 2018, Wasco FFA hosted the Annual Showmanship Expo.


Wasco FFA’s Livestock Showman have been hard at work to prepare their animals for the Kern County Fair. The Fair will be here before we know it, and all showman want their projects show ring ready.

Saturday, August 18th, The Wasco FFA Chapter held our Annual Showmanship Expo! This was a great opportunity for showman and is something a little different than our usual showmanship practices. Livestock Industry experts were invited to serve as judges and guide students towards better showmanship skills. Showman were able to see if they are ready for fair and what skills they need to work on.

In the Swine Show 2nd place went to Jon Ballou and 1st was awarded to Manuel Flores, In the Sheep Show 1st place went to Nick Gutierrez and 2nd to Sky Williams in the Goat Show 1st place went to Sky Williams and Second Place went to Ixchel Sanchez. Prizes were awarded to those who placed 1st and 2nd.

It was a great day out at the Wasco High School Farm! Showman are ready to make those final preparations for the Kern County Fair.
